The Lord Jesus Christ says, “The Kingdom of God is Near.  Repent and Believe the Good News!” (Mark 1:14-15)

Again

‘God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

ISAIAH 46:9-10 The Lord God says, ‘…I am God, and there is no other, I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done. My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose…’  Children of God, stand firm.  God calls His people to a bold trust in His sole deity and sovereign ways.

ISAIAH 45:12, ‘I (God) made the earth and created man on it, it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their hosts.’  Here, the Lord God asserts His right to be God.
1 Corinthians 8:4, ‘… “There is no God but One.”  For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth – as indeed there are many “gods and many lords” yet ‘for us (Jews and Christians) there is one God, the Father (ABBA in Aramaic), from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and One Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah) through whom are all things and through whom we exist.  The Bible makes it is clear that non-Judeo-Christian religions do not represent the real God.

Luke 3:22‘…Voice came from Heaven (God speaks), ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.’  You are my beloved Son.  Jesus is not only a man; he is also the uniquely loved Son of the Son of the Father (see John1:14).  This divine affirmation (see Luke 1:31-35, 2:49) will be repeated at the transfiguration (9:35).  Well pleased shows that the Father takes delight in all that Jesus is and all that he has done in his life.  (God speaks on Isaiah 6:4, 8)

Luke 9:35, ‘A voice from the cloud said: ‘This (Jesus) is my Son, my Chosen; listen to Him!’ And in John 1:1-18, ‘(Jesus) the Son of God becomes man.’  This is my Son listen to him means to give attention to Jesus’ teaching above all else, even above the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) of the OT (not that they are any less the Word of God, but that Jesus’ teaching supersedes and rightly interprets the OT for the new age of the Kingdom of God and the new covenant.  Jesus is not merely equal to Moses and Elijah; he is far greater.  All the OT pointed to him (see Luke 24:27).  Listen to him also alludes to Deuteronomy 18:15, indicating that Jesus is the prophet that Moses predicted ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you.’

Mark 9:7, ‘And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, ‘This is my beloved Son, listen to him.’  The voice …out of the cloud echoes Ex 24:15-16.  This is my beloved Son; listen to him is uttered for the benefit of the three disciples.  ‘Listen to him’ echoes Deut. 18:15, 18, where Moses is shown to be a leader-prophet.  Anyone who does not listen to the Messiah of God rejects God, who sent him.  The three disciples see the glory of Jesus; they see his greatness over Moses and Elijah; and they hear the divine authentication of Jesus as the eternal Son.

John 14:8-9, ‘Philip said to Him (Jesus), “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip?  Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.’  Philip asks for some sort of appearance by God. In the OT, Moses asked for and was given limited vision of God’s glory (Ex 33:18, 24:10) Isaiah , too, received a vision of God (Isaiah 6:1) Jesus is the greater fulfilment of these limited OT events ( Ezek. 1:26-28) In keeping with OT teaching, Jesus denied the possibility of a direct vision of God (John 5:37, 6:46), yet he makes the stunning assertion that those who have seen him have seen the Father-a clear claim to deity.  Philip’s request shows that he has not yet understood the point of Jesus’ coming, namely, to reveal the Father (John 1:14, 18)

In Matthew 6:9, the Lord Jesus Christ introduced Christians to the Almighty God as our Father… and He is also Father to the Israelites. Therefore, Jews and Christians share the same Heavenly Father, ‘…you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, (and daughters), by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’ (Romans 8:15).

In Jeremiah 3:19, the Lord God said, ‘…Call me, My Father’ (ABBA in Aramaic).  Again,’…Call to me, My Father.’ (Jeremiah 3:4)

John 14:6, Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus is the only “way” to God (ACTS 4:12) and He alone can provide access to God.

John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’  Here is the most famous summary of the gospel in the entire Bible.  For connect to verse 15 and explains what happened to make it possible that someone can “have eternal life” (verse 15) that is, through believing in Christ.  God so loved the world was an astounding statement in that context because the OT and other Jewish writings had spoken only of God’s love for his people Israel.  God’s love for “the world” made it possible for “whoever” (verse 15) believes in Christ, not Jews alone, to have eternal life.  God’s love for the world was not mere sentiment but led to a specific action: He gave His only Son, which John elsewhere explains as sending Him to earth as a man (verse 17) to suffer and die and thereby to bear the penalty for sins.  On “Only Son,” the purpose of giving his Son was to made God’s great gift of eternal life available to anyone-whoever believes in him, that, whoever personally trusts in him.  Not perish means not perish in eternal judgment, in contrast to having eternal life, the life of abundant joy and immeasurable blessing in the presence of God forever.  Those who “believe in” Christ have that “eternal life” and already experience its blessings in this present time, not yet fully, but in some significant measure. Connections to John 3:16

In 1 John 2:2, the Bible tells ‘…because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever.’  Abides in us – “in us” could be translates “among us”.  Christian faith is share and is not just a personal conviction.

And in Romans 3:25 ‘Whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be receive by faith.  This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.’  Therefore, Jesus’ blood “propitiate” or satisfied God’s wrath (Rom. 1:18) so that his holiness was not compromised in forgiving sinners.  God’s righteous anger needed to be appeased before sin could be forgiven, and God in his love sent his Son (who offered himself willingly) to satisfy God’s holy anger against sin. In this way God demonstrated his righteousness, which here refers particularly to his holiness and justice.  God’s justice was called into question because in his patience he had overlooked former sins.  In other words, how could God as the utterly Holy One tolerate human sin without inflicting full punishment on human beings immediately? Paul’s answer is that God looked forward to the cross of Christ where the full payment for the guilt of sin would be made, where Christ would die in the place of sinners.  In the OT, propitiation (or the complete satisfaction of the wrath of God) is symbolically foreshadowed e.g. Ex. 32:11-14, Num 25:8, 11 & Josh. 7:25-26 (The Bible)

John 1:14 ‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.’  In the past, God had manifested his presence to his people in the tabernacle and the temple.  Now God takes up residence among his people in the incarnate Word, Jesus Christ (see John 1:17).  Thus, the coming of Christ fulfils the OT symbolism for God’s dwelling with man in the tabernacle and the temple.  Later, through the Holy Spirit, Christ will make into a temple both the church (1Cor. 3:16) and a Christian’s body (1 Cor. 6:19).  The references to Gods glory refer back to the OT passages narrating the manifestation of the presence and glory of God in theophanies (appearances of God), the tabernacle, or the temple (e.g.  Ex. 33:22, Num. 14:10, Deut.5:22), the only Son from the Father.  Jesus is the “Son of God,”  not in the sense of being created or born (see John 1:3) , but in the sense of being a Son who is exactly like his Father in all attributes, and in the sense of having a Father-Son  relationship with God the Father.  The “Only” means “One of a kind, unique,” as in the case of Isaac, who is called Abraham’s “one-of-a-kind” son in Heb.11:17 (in contrast to Ishmael; Gen. 22:2, 12, 16).    (The Bible)

John 1:3 ‘All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.’  All things include the whole universe, indicating that (except for God) everything that exists was created and that (except for God) nothing has existed eternally.  Made through him follows the consistent pattern of Scripture in saying that God the Father carried out his creative works through the activity of the Son (see 1 cor. 8:6, Col. 1:16, Heb.1:2).  This verse disproves any suggestion that the Word (or the Son, John 1:14)  was created, for the Father would have had to do this by himself, and John says that nothing was created that way, for without him was not any thing made that was made. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.  Whoever believes in me, though he die, Yet shall he live.’  Jesus does not merely say that he will bring about the resurrection or that he will be the cause of the resurrection (both of which are true), but something much stronger: I am the resurrection and life.  Resurrection from the dead and genuine eternal life in fellowship with God are so closely tied to Jesus that they are embodied in him and can be found only in relationship to him.  Therefore believes in me implies personal trust in Christ.  (The Bible)

All people of the world are invited.  ‘Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no moneys, come, buy and eat!…’(Isaiah 55:1)

LOVE

THE BIBLICAL LOVE IS THE AGAPE LOVE
John 3:16 ‘For God s o loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.’
John 3:16 is the example of the agape love.  God dislike the world but He chose to love it.  It is a sacrificial love.

The Greatest Commandments
Matthew 22:37-39 ‘…Love the Lord your God with all heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it; ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’

Total devotion to the Lord God includes the duty to obey all of God’s commandments (Matthew 5:16-20) ‘Heart’, ‘soul,’ and ‘mind’ don’t represent rigid compartments of human existence but together refer to the whole person.  ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself,’ (see Lev. 19:18, 34).  Love signifies a concrete responsibility to seek the greatest good of one’s neighbour. Different types of love
The English word for love covers a multitude of things: lust, Philadelphia and agape.  Agape love is the Biblical love.  It is the only love that can be commanded and it is the least known and the most lacking in people.  (Dr David Pawson)

Lust love is the sexual love: Eros and Epithumia
Eros (is good) is based on sexual attraction between a man and a woman.  It is the romantic and sentimental kind of love that causes the softy feelings known as the ‘butterfly in your stomach’.  At Piccadilly Circus, a name given to Lord Salisbury Eros (came from the word erotica).
Epithumia (is bad) is based on neutral attractions and its can be between a man and a woman, a man and a man or a woman and a woman.  It is purely promiscuous and it is a thing of the flesh.  It is selfish and self-centred   dependant love.  It depends on that object continuing to attract your lust.   As soon as that stop then you no longer have love for that person.  In other word, as soon as the attraction goes with age then the love goes too.
Lust love cannot be commanded.  For example, you cannot say to a man and woman, ‘You shall fall in love’.  (Dr David Pawson)

Philadelphia is the social love
Philadelphia is to like someone. It is a word of affection rather than attraction.  It is like mindedness: you have friends you got on with and have similar tastes and out look on life.  It is affection and it is brotherly love.  It can happen    between two men or between two women.  It is the two minds that like each other. You have sympathy and empathy for each other.  It is a thing of thoughts and it is interdependent.  You depend on each others’ thoughts, tastes and interests.
Philadelphia love cannot be commanded.  You cannot say to people, ‘You shall like each other.’ (Dr David Pawson)

Agape Love is the Biblical Love and the Way of Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ‘Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, its keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails’

 Agape (a God-like) love is the kind of love the Lord Jesus Christ talks about and commanded.  Agape is a self-sacrificing and unconditional love.  It is closer to the word ‘caring’ than the word ‘love’.
Agape love is love of attention; a love that gives attention to people.  It is not a love that is attracted by them and is not a mutual interdependent affection.  It is a love that gives attention and takes notice of someone.  It is an act of the will.  You decide to agape someone.  Someone you notice no one is caring for, you decide to go and give your attention to them.  Agape love does not say ‘I’m better than anyone else.’  It does not burst.  Agape love is where you have got lots of differences and yet you care for each other and you can live with that.

Agape love is the kind of love that can be commanded.  You say to a person, ‘you shall agape your neighbour.’ Agape love is the love of God.  He does not love us because we are attractive or loveable.  He loves us because He loves us. Agape love is independent to the person you are loving.  The person you are loving does not need to be attractive or even thankful. Unlike lust and Philadelphia, agape love is lacking in people.

Agape love is sacrificial love that is willing to pay any price to care for someone (see John 3:16).  This is the Love God has for us; while we are sinners, God agape us. God dislike the world but chose to love it.  Agape love is about the concern and the wellbeing of that person. (Dr David Pawson)
‘We hear a lot of talk about romance. But we also see marriages and romantic relationships in disaster. It is the agape love that is so often missing.

The beauty of agape is that it is an exercise of the choice of your will and is not dependent on feelings. It is love of action, not emotion. It focuses on what you do and say rather than how you feel. In a lasting marriage, all three aspects of love are needed. But it is the God-given agape love that is the cement that holds the rest together.’ (Rev. Paul J Bucknell)
Instruction in Holy Living

Ephesians 5:3-6 ‘But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience’

Paul gives general instructions on how Christians are to lead holy lives.  He centres on wisdom in speech, sexual purity, associations, and other similar aspects of a thankful life. (The Bible)

Walk in Love
Ephesians 5:1-2 ‘Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.  And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.’
Believers are to imitate God’s holiness in all of their conduct.  They are to be like Him, not as slaves trying to earn a wage but as children – and beloved children at that.  Loved – the past tense does not suggest that Christ has stopped loving us but only that, when He gave himself up for us, it was the supreme act of His love (see John 15:13)

Pray

“Dear Lord, our society is sleeping with the Great Harlot. We regularly are being seduced into thinking that living for our desires is better than living by the power of your love. Oh Lord, please save us! Please let our hearts not turn cold to you. Many around us have deserted your love for their lusts. Please Lord forgive us where we have stained our own hands with greed, indulgence and covetousness. Please Lord, open our eyes and bring a spirit of repentance upon our hearts that we might fully turn to You. In the great Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.”

The Good-News

Two vital important questions

‘Do you know for sure that you are going to be with God in heaven?

STOP!

If God were to ask you: “why should I let you into my heaven” what would you say?

Man thinks there are many ways to get into heaven!

Good works. Follow the 10 Commandments. Obey the Golden-Rule. Be nice. Do not hurt anybody. Avoid committing crimes and being better than most people. Give to charity. Be religious. Be sincere.

The trouble with all these ways is that they depend on us.  But none of us is perfect.  We can’t keep all the rules all the time.  We all fail and so we can never be sure that we have done enough to earn our place in heaven.  In fact the harder we try, the more we realise our imperfections.  If you are not sure of your eternal life in heaven then get ready to hear:

The Best News you could ever hear!  This news is that:

Heaven (Eternal Life) is a free-gift!

The Bible says: “…the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)

God wants us to have a close personal relationship with Him and to experience His Abundant Life both now and for all eternity.  So He offers it to us as a free-gift.

Since Eternal Life is a free-gift, like all genuine gifts: It is not earned or deserved.

No amount of personal effort, good works or religious deeds can earn a place in heaven for you.

“By grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Suppose out of love, you gave a friend an expensive gift and they say: “Here is a pound for it.”  How would you feel?  Insulted?  Yes, because any true gift must be accepted freely.  If you pay anything for it, then it is no longer a gift.  No gift can be paid for or be earned or deserved.  The same is true for eternal life.  It is not earned or deserved.  God refuses any payment for it because He offers it to all men as a gift.  In fact it is an insult to try and pay for it.  It can only be received on a free-gift basis.

Why is it that no one can earn his way to heaven? Because: Man is a sinner

The Bible makes it clear that we are all guilty in the right of God, for All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Our own experience tells us that we often fail to come up to our own standards, let alone God’s standard of perfection.

Sin defined. Sin is anything that displeases God and transgresses His law.  It is not just crimes like murder, rape or robbery.  There are sins in deed, for instance: cheating, losing our temper, stealing and immoral behaviour; and sins in word such as lying, gossiping cursing and swearing; as  well as sins in thought such as lust, pride, bad thoughts and hatred.  Sins of commission are things we do that we should not.  As well as these, there are sins of omission such as failing to love God, to pray to Him and worship Him, as well as failing to love our neighbour as ourselves.  All these sins show that each of us is a sinner by nature and undeserving of eternal life in heaven.

Even if I am really good and only commit three sins a day, then in one year that would be 1000 sins! In a lifetime, 70,000 sins.  In fact it would be worse than this.  What do you think would happen to a habitual offender in a court with 70,000 transgressions on his record?

This means that: Man cannot save himself

No amount of good works, religious rituals or trying hard will impress God enough to allow you into heaven.  You cannot earn your way into heaven.

If you wanted to save yourself by good deeds, do you know how good you would have to be? What is God’s standard?

Jesus said: “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

God has only one standard – Perfection!  A perfect God, in a perfect heaven, requires perfection.  But imperfect man does not meet the standard and so he cannot save himself.

With such a high standard, no one can save himself, for God also says “Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:19) It just takes one sin to make us guilty.

In exams, there is a passing-grade, which you need to get to move onto the next class.  God has a passing-grade in His class of life.  Some of us may get 5%, another 10%, others 20%, but it makes no difference, we all fail!  Why? God’s passing grade is 100% (perfection).  Because of sin no one can pass on their own performance.

God gave His Laws in the Bible to show man His high standards, and in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus showed that God requires perfection in our heart-attitudes as well as in our actions. “Cursed is every one who does not continue to do all the things that are written in the book of the law”(Galatians 3:10)

It’s as impossible to reach heaven by our own efforts as it is to swim the Atlantic!  Some may get further than others but all would fall a long way short of the goal.  So, even though some people are better than others, we all fall short of God’s standard.  The gulf between us and heaven’s glory is far greater than the Atlantic Ocean.

Trying to save yourself is also like serving up an omelette that contains some rotten eggs mixed in with some good eggs.  It would be unacceptable.  The bad eggs spoil the whole omelette.  Similarly, when we try to serve our lives up to God, they are unacceptable because they contain the rotten eggs of our sins mixed in with our good works.

Do you now see why it is impossible for us to save ourselves?

God is merciful and therefore does not want to punish us. This is because “God is love” (1 John 4:8)

He says: “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3) He wants us all to go to heaven. 

But the same Bible that tells us that God loves us also tells us that…

God is just therefore He must punish sin

He says: “I will by no means clear the guilty” (Exodus 34:7) and “The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4)

We all believe in justice.  If a criminal robs and murders someone, then we know he should be punished.  We would be outraged if he were let off.  He must pay the penalty for his actions.  Just as a human judge must pronounce sentence upon a criminal, so God also must punish the guilty.  God cannot turn a blind eye to sin. If a human judge is required to punish law-breakers because of justice, how much more must the Just and Holy Judge of the universe punish every sin? Otherwise God would be unjust.  Therefore all men are under the sentence of death.

We have a major problem – we have all sinned and the penalty for sin is eternal death.  We need forgiveness so that we can have a right relation with God.  On the one hand, God loves us and does not want to punish us (He wants us to go to heaven); on the other He is Just and must punish our sin, which would mean us going to hell.

God solved this problem for us in the Person of Jesus Christ.

 Who exactly would you say Jesus Christ is?

A good man, a great teacher, a prophet perhaps?  The Bible tells us He is all these things but also so much more.  He is God – the Creator of the whole universe.  He created you.  He also became a man and lived among us.  Jesus Christ is the unique God-Man, both fully God and fully man.

“In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God and the Word was God …and the Word (Jesus) became flesh (a man) and dwelt among us.” (John1:1, 14)

So you see, He was and is God!

2000 years ago, God became a man, clothing Himself in human flesh.  God loved us so much that He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to come and save us from our sin and from hell and give us life.

What did Jesus do?

When Jesus died on the cross, all our sin was laid on Him.  “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord has laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6)

God hates our sins but because of His love for us, He has placed them all on His Son.  Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross.  When He cried, “It is finished”, He announced that He had paid the price for our forgiveness in full.

He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and to purchase a place in Heaven for us.

He was buried and our sin was buried with Him.  On the third day He rose from the dead and is alive forevermore!

He now offers you the gift of eternal life that He purchased through His death.

This gift is received by faith – Faith is the only key that opens the door to heaven.  Many try to use the key of their good works to get in, but will fail.

 The Bible says that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

But what is saving faith?

Faith is believing the Good News.

Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God?  Do you believe that He died for your sins? Do you believe He rose again on the third day? Do you believe He offers you forgiveness and eternal life?

If you said “yes” to these questions you have the first ingredient of faith, called intellectual assent, which is believing certain historical facts.

But this alone will not save you, for the Bible says the devil believes in God and in these facts.  So just believing in God is not saving faith.  Something else is required and that is a personal response to Jesus Christ.  Faith must be of the heart as well as the head.

Saving faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for Eternal Life.

Faith means trust.  If you really believe someone, you trust in them.  Now perhaps you have prayed and trusted God for a temporary crisis such as financial, family or physical needs.  Now this is good, but it is not saving faith.

Saving faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, forgiveness and eternal life.  It is entrusting your whole being to Him for your eternal destiny.  It means resting, depending and relying upon Christ alone and what He has done, rather than what you or I have done to get us to heaven.

“Believe (trust) on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31)

True faith is trusting in Christ alone. This means that you transfer all your trust from your own goodness and from what you have been doing to Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross.

Imagine you are sitting in the chair of your good-works and you can see the chair of Christ across the room.  You may believe it is there but until you get out of your chair and sit (trust) in Christ, He does not hold you up.

Faith is like the hand of a beggar receiving the gift of a King.  We don’t deserve the gift of eternal life and we cannot pay for it, but we can have it today if we reach out and receive it by faith.

You have just read the greatest story ever told about the greatest offer ever made by the greatest Person who ever lived –Jesus Christ.

Would you like to receive the gift of eternal life?

It’s up to you!  It’s the most important choice you will make.

Because this is such an important matter, let’s clarify what this means: it means putting all your trust in the resurrected living Jesus Christ, receiving Him into our heart and life as your Saviour and Lord.

Jesus said: “Behold I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)

When He comes in, He comes as your Saviour.  He forgives your sins and gives you eternal life.  He also comes into your life as your Lord for He is God.  There is a throne-room in your heart, and the throne is rightly His.  He made you.  He bought you with His blood and He wants to take His rightful place on the throne of your life.  So trusting in Jesus Christ as your Saviour also means surrendering to Him as your Lord.

If this is what you really want, you can come to God in prayer right where you are.  You can receive His gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ right now.

“For all who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved” (Romans 10:17)

If you want to receive Jesus and His gift of eternal life, then call on Him, in prayer, asking Him for this gift right now, and He promises that you will be saved.

Say this prayer from your heart to God.

Dear God, I come to You, I confess that I have sinned.  I have gone my own way.  I do not deserve eternal life.  But I believe you sent Jesus to save me.  I believe He is the Son of God.  I believe that on the cross He paid the penalty for my sins.  I believe that He rose from the grave on the third day.

Right now, Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heat.  I receive you as my Saviour and Lord.  Please forgive my sins and take control of my life. I receive your free gift of eternal life.  I give my life to you.  I trust you alone for my salvation.

Thank you for saving me.  Amen

“Truly I say to you, whosoever believes (trusts) in Me has (possesses now) eternal life” (John 6:47)

Welcome to the Family of God!

“For as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born of God” (John 1:12-13). Today is your spiritual birthday, a day that you will always want to remember!

The Bible says you are a brand new person on the inside.  “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) you are now alive to God and your past is forgiven.  Your inner-man (your spirit) has been reborn, and you now have God’s life and love-nature in you. “The love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to us.” (Romans 5:5) you now have a new capacity to love God and other people.  Isn’t it wonderful what God has done for you!  You are the love-child of a love-God and you should seek to express that love.

What’s next?

The Christian life is all about loving God in response to His wonderful love for us.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Matthew 22:37

What does it mean to love someone?  You will want to spend time with them, enjoy their company, talk with them, get to know them and develop a close relationship with them if we love God, we will spend time listening to Him and speaking to Him.

The Bible is God’s Word to us.  When we read it, God speaks to us.  Spend some time each day reading the Bible and ask God to speak to you through His Word.  A good way to start is to read the Gospel of John (at least a chapter a day.) You’ll find promises that God makes to you personally and commands that He gives you for your own benefit.  When you understand what God’s will is for you, put it into practice in your life. You’ll learn more about Him, what He likes and dislikes.  As you become aware of anything wrong in your life, repent of those sins, confessing them to God.

Spend time each day conversing with God.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

Worship regularly at a church that teaches you the Bible and honours Jesus Christ.

“I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 122:1)

When we receive Christ, we start the Christian life as a spiritual baby who needs to grow in our new relationship with God.  In order to grow into strong Christians, we need to get together with other Christians and learn more about this New Life.  “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word of God, so that you may grow.” (1 Peter 2:2)

We are not meant to live the Christian life alone but in fellowship with other believers who will help us grow in our faith.  We are all in the same family and we need to meet together regularly.  Being part of a Bible-believing Church is God’s will for us.  “Not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as is the manner of some.” (Hebrews 10:25)  The first Christians who gladly received God’s Word often joined together and “continued steadfastly in the apostles teaching, and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers.” (Acts 2:41-42)’ (the above is taken directly from Pastor Derek Walker’s book: THE GOOD-NEWS! Christmas is when God came forward and made Himself known to man.

God makes Himself known through creations and He also became flesh and lived amongst us. Signs were given to show that this was no ordinary child.  Angels appeared and announced the coming of God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  A young girl wakes up pregnant without the help of a man.  There was a magnificent star in the sky. Exclamations of Easter by the Good News Broadcasting (GNB TRANSCRIPT)
‘Easter means different things to different people. We especially see this with children. When asked what Easter is all about, an eight-year-old girl responded, “You get eggs and remember God.” That’s not bad. A four-year-old exclaimed, “It’s the day that God woke up.” That’s pretty good. A seven-year-old captured it well when she said, “It’s when Jesus got alive.”

A young boy whose father was a funeral director was puzzled in his Sunday school class when he learned about the resurrection of Christ. He asked the teacher, “Do you mean that Jesus really rose from the dead?” “Oh, yes,” the teacher said. The boy shook his head and replied, “I know my daddy didn’t take care of Him because if he did, He’d never get up again!” This boy understood the finality of death but He didn’t quite get the message of Easter. It wouldn’t have made any difference who did what to the body of Jesus. He was dead and wrapped in strips of cloths and was put in the grave. But he didn’t stay that way.

On February 27, 1991, at the height of Operation Desert Storm, Ruth Dillow received a very sad message from the Pentagon. Her son had stepped on a mine in the Persian Gulf and had been killed. Ruth Dillow put her sorrow into words when she wrote: “I can’t begin to describe my grief and shock. It was almost more than I could bear. For three days I wept. For three days I expressed anger and loss. For three days people tried to comfort me, to no avail because the loss was too great.” But three days after she received the first message, the telephone rang. The voice on the other end said, “Mum, it’s me. I’m alive.” Ruth Dillow was speechless. Here’s how she put it in her own words: “I couldn’t believe it at first. But then I recognised his voice and he really was alive. I laughed, I cried, I felt like turning cartwheels, because my son, whom I thought was dead, was really alive.” She then added this, “I’m sure none of you can ever begin to understand how I felt.” While we might not be able to empathise with her exact feelings, those closest to Jesus could certainly relate. They experienced some of these same emotions themselves. Only Jesus was really dead for three days and then came back to life.

The gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke provide vivid details about the account of the Resurrection. In John’s report, the focus is on a few people who were deeply impacted by the reality of the resurrection. In chapter 20, we’ll listen in on 7 Easter Exclamations made by the risen Christ to various individuals. Just as the Seven Cries from the cross in the hours before His death explain the purpose of His coming, these first seven words after the Resurrection contain words of life for Christ followers everywhere.

The risen Saviour did not reveal Himself to everyone, but only to selected witnesses who would share the good news with others. We’ll discover that even His closest followers did not understand the truth of the Resurrection right away.

Follow along as I summarise John 20:1-9. These verses set the scene for the first post-resurrection exclamations of Christ.

Jesus had radically changed Mary Magdalene when He cast seven demons from her many months earlier. After her deliverance she travelled with Jesus and shared her material resources with His band of followers. We know she was one of the last ones at the cross and now she’s the first one at the empty tomb. She had come with a group of other women to complete the task of preparing the body of Jesus for burial. They weren’t quite sure how they were going to get into the tomb but an angel took care of that for them. Mary went ahead of the other women and got to the grave first. When she saw that the stone had been removed, she mistakenly thought that someone had stolen the body of Jesus. She then ran to tell Peter and John the bad news. Peter and John then take off for the tomb, with John outrunning old Pete. When John arrives he bends over to take a look into the burial place where he saw the strips of linen that had been wrapped around the body of Jesus. For some reason he did not go in. When Peter arrived a few minutes later, huffing and puffing, he marched right into the tomb. He too saw the strips of linen and the burial cloth that had been wrapped around the head of Jesus. This cloth was folded up by itself. There was no evidence of foul play. Grave robbers do not meticulously unwrap the corpse and leave the grave clothes neatly behind.

John also went inside. When he looked around, the Bible says, “He saw and believed.” Three different words for “seeing” are used in this account. In verse 5, the verb simply means, “to glance or look in.” In verse 6, the word means, “to look carefully.” The word “saw” in verse 8 means to “perceive with intelligent comprehension.” It’s the idea of seeing with an Inner Light that leads one to a conclusion. In other words, the light went on for him.
While the light went on for John, things progressed a little more slowly for some of the other individuals in the first Easter drama. Let’s look now at these seven exclamations.

1. JESUS MEETS US RIGHT WHERE WE ARE.

After John and Peter went back home, verse 11 tells us that Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb “and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head, the other at the foot.” The position of these angels at either end of the shelf where the body had been lying makes us think back to the mercy seat in Exodus 25:17, where we read that two golden cherubim were positioned at both ends of the atonement cover. This was the golden lid that covered the Ark of the Covenant on which the blood of sacrifice was sprinkled during the Day of Atonement. This Old Testament term means “to cover up” or “to forgive.” Isn’t that cool how the angels are at either end of the place where the final sacrifice was lying? It’s as though God is saying; “There is now a new mercy seat! My Son has paid the price for the forgiveness of sins and the way is now open for you to come into my presence.” These angels want to know why Mary is crying. She tells them someone has taken her Lord away. Obviously the disciples hadn’t told her what they had discovered and she hadn’t looked hard enough at the evidence. She still thinks that the body was somehow stolen. In Verse 14 Mary turns around and sees Jesus but doesn’t recognise Him. He then spoke words of comfort when he asked her the first of two questions in verse 15: “Woman, why are you crying?” We know from that culture that weeping for the loss of a loved one was done in a very loud voice. This was more than just a silent tear running down her cheek. She was grieving greatly. I want you to notice that Jesus does not rebuke her for crying. Instead he gently invites her to talk about her sorrow. Friend, Jesus knows all about those things that make you sad. He understands your fear and anxiety. And He wants to walk through your pain with you.

Think of all the tears that have been shed through all the years of human history. Jesus doesn’t always take away our tears but He stands on resurrection ground as the answer to agonising sadness. And there’s a day coming according to Revelation 21:4 when “He will wipe every tear from our eyes, when there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…” Jesus not only asks about her sorrow but He also wants to know about her seeking. He tenderly prods with a second question, “Who is it that you are looking for?” He doesn’t ask her “what” she is looking for but “whom.” Until we find Jesus, each of us are looking for someone as well. Sadly, many of us are on a search for something, when we should be looking for someone. Only Jesus Himself can meet our deepest needs. It’s interesting that Mary did not recognise the Lord. Maybe it was because she wasn’t looking for Him.

Jesus meets Mary right where she is and begins to reveal Himself in the midst of her sorrow. And He is about to fulfil her search. Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Are you crying on the inside today? Jesus knows all about it. Invite him into your pain. Who are you searching for? If you search for Jesus, you will find Him because He meets you right where you are.

JESUS KNOWS US PERSONALLY.

It’s kind of funny what takes place in the second part of verse 15: “Thinking he was the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him and I will get him.’” I don’t know why she would think the gardener would be interested in stealing a body, but she’s obviously not thinking clearly because of all the grief she is experiencing.

In His second exclamation, found in verse 16, Jesus said just one word to her, “Mary.” Actually, in the original he uses her Aramaic name, “Miriam.” He speaks her native name in her native tongue. This was the name that family and friends used. And Jesus always called her Miriam when He spoke to her. Many of you have a name that only your family calls you. All Jesus had to do was speak her name and verse 16 tells us that she immediately turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni.” Apparently she had turned away to look back at that tomb but when she heard her family name she knew exactly who He was. When she said “Rabboni” she was using the term of highest respect. It was more than just “rabbi.” It was like she was saying, “My master and my teacher.” John 10:3 gives us some insight here: “…He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out.” When Mary called Jesus “Rabboni,” she was indicating that He was Lord and Master and that she would follow Him wherever He would lead her. Just as a shepherd knows everyone of his sheep, so too, Jesus knows each of His followers personally and calls them by name.

Have you ever stopped to think that Jesus knows everything about you, and likes you anyway? He cares deeply for you, regardless of what you’ve done, or how you’ve been living. In Mark 16, the angels tell the women specifically to tell the disciples and Peter that Jesus was alive. Even the angels wanted Peter to know that it wasn’t over just because he had bailed on Jesus. Heaven knows his name and God’s messengers want Peter to experience the gospel of the second chance. God loves to fully restore fallen followers.

The Resurrected Christ is speaking your name this morning. Tom. Dick, Harry. Do you hear Him? Will you follow Him? He knows you personally and will meet you right where you are.

JESUS GIVES US A MESSAGE.

After hearing her name, Mary drops to her knees and Matthew 28:9 tells us that she grabs on to His feet in worship. Now that she’s found Jesus she doesn’t want to let go. Jesus then gently rebukes her, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father.” He certainly wasn’t objecting to being touched. Rather, He was correcting Mary’s mistaken notion that their former relationship was going to be resumed just like it was before. She was still going to have a friendship with Him, but it was going to be much deeper and richer once He ascended into heaven.
When John was with Jesus at the last supper, he leaned against Him while they were eating but when John saw the Resurrected Christ on the island of Patmos in Revelation, he fell at His feet as though dead!

After re-framing their relationship, Jesus then gives Mary a message: “Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” Mary was responsible to deliver the news about this new relationship. The first two letters of “Gospel” make up the word “Go.” Isn’t it interesting that left to herself, Mary would have been content to just sit at His feet and soak up the fellowship and teaching? We’re a lot like that as well. We would rather sit than serve. We would rather gather together than scatter with the gospel message.

Verse 18 reveals that Mary did what she was told to do: “…she went to the disciples with the news, ‘I have seen the Lord.’ And she told them that He had said these things to her.” Jesus wanted His followers to know that He was alive but He already was preparing them for His departure into Heaven. Mary’s job was to announce the upcoming ascension and that’s exactly what she did. She related her experience and made sure to communicate His exact words as well.

Listen, we are to be a “going” people. We’ve been given a message. We must tell our story about how we have been changed by Christ, but we must make sure we always tell His story. Don’t keep Jesus all to yourself. Share Him with others. Jesus Himself said, “Go and make disciples of all nations…”

These first three exclamations are given to Mary on Easter Sunday morning. The next two are expressed Easter Sunday night, while the disciples are gathered in fear, locked behind thick wooden doors in an upper room.

JESUS PROVIDES PEACE IN THE MIDST OF ANXIETY.

While the followers are fearful and ambushed by anxiety, Jesus miraculously appears in the room and gives his fourth exclamation: “Peace be with you!” Jesus knew that the disciples were paralysed by their own insecurity. There was no way they could follow His mission when they were locked behind closed doors. This is wonderful. Jesus came to them and reassured them with His peace and presence. Instead of confronting the disciples for not standing with Him in His time of need, Jesus appeared to them and said, “Peace be with you.” This overwhelming peace cut through their own guilt and feelings of failure. Their fear was replaced with joy.

The first words out of the Saviour’s mouth Easter evening reveal one thing: He accepts them. What relief, what joy, must have flooded their hearts! These words of Jesus were almost identical to the ones He spoke shortly before He was crucified: “I told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus wants to extend peace to you as well. He doesn’t gloss over your past. He is well aware of the mistakes you have made. He knows how you’ve scorned Him, denied Him, and rejected Him in the past. He understands your anxiety and unbelief. Yet He still holds His arms of peace open to you. In the Jewish culture, the word shalom is a state of wholeness and harmony that is intended to resonate in all relationships. When used as a greeting, shalom was a wish for outward freedom from disturbance as well as an inward sense of well being. To a people constantly harassed by enemies, peace was the premiere blessing. God gave Moses these words to use when blessing His people: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”

The New Testament describes at least three spheres, or planes, of peace:
Peace with God – that’s the vertical dimension. Romans 5: “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Because of what Jesus did on the Cross, you and I can now be at peace with God. This word can also mean, “to set at one again.”

Peace of God – this takes place internally. Philippians 4: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Peace with others – when we have peace with God and we experience the peace of God, we can then extend peace horizontally. Matthew 5: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.” I find it interesting that Jesus didn’t tell us to be “peacekeepers,” but instead “peacemakers.” This could be translated as “peace workers.” It takes effort to bring conflict to an end. When we work at preventing contention and strife we are doing what God does. We’re called to make peace when we’re involved in conflict with someone and when we see others involved in skirmishes.

Jesus offers you peace today. Do you want this peace or are you content to cower in the corner? Don’t lock yourself behind thick walls. Instead, allow the Lord to give you His perfect peace.

JESUS GIVES US A JOB AND THE POWER TO DO IT.

Jesus again says in verse 21, “Peace be with you!” He meets the distraught disciples right where they are and since He knows each of them intimately, He knows that they really need to have personal peace before they can go out and share it with others. Jesus then commissioned them by giving them a job to do: “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” Just like Mary was told to go and tell, now all of his followers are given a job assignment as well. The One who brings them peace is now commissioning them to go and spread the gospel of peace to those who are in conflict with God, to those who need internal peace, and to those who are in relational battles.

Jesus not only gives followers an assignment to accomplish, He also empowers them for the task: “And with that He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” This reminds us of how God breathed life into Adam. Jesus had promised them that when He left He would send another one to come in His place: “But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counsellor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” The Holy Spirit enables, empowers and equips believers for ministry. Apart from Him we can do nothing. Shortly before Jesus left to go back into heaven, He told His followers to wait for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which would happen on the Day of Pentecost: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Are you searching for purpose and meaning in life? Jesus offers everything you’re looking for. Once you surrender your life to Him He will give you a job to do and a toolbox full of gifts and abilities that you never dreamed you’d have. You don’t have to trust in your own strength when the Holy Spirit comes on you in power.

JESUS CALLS US TO DEAL WITH OUR DOUBTS.

While the disciples who gathered in the upper room on Easter Sunday night received peace and power, there was one man who wasn’t there to see Jesus with his own eyes. His name is Thomas. When he heard that they had been with Jesus he crossed his arms and said: “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” We don’t really know why Thomas wasn’t with the other disciples that night. Maybe he was so down and disappointed that he just turned inward and pulled away from people. Have you ever done that? I think many of us have. Thomas desperately needed to be with others that night, but he chose to go it alone. As a result he missed seeing the Lord. No matter how discouraged you are, you need to be with God’s people in God’s house in order to hear God’s words. Solitude only feeds discouragement, which can grow into self-pity. Make it a practice to be in church each week, whether you feel like it or not. That way you’ll be sure to not miss anything!

Thomas’ words help us to differentiate between doubt and unbelief. A person who doubts says, “I cannot believe.” A person who is filled with unbelief says, “I will not believe.” In the Greek text, Thomas uses a double negative: “I positively will not believe.” A week later, the disciples are gathered together once more, and this time Thomas is with them. Even though the doors were locked again, Jesus miraculously appeared and for the third time said, “Peace be with you.”
The sixth exclamation is found in verse 27: “Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’” Jesus knew exactly what Thomas had said a week earlier; no one had to tell Him. He then deals with Thomas in a very personal way as He invites him to deal with his doubts by touching His hands and side. The phrase, “Stop doubting and believe” is literally translated, “Stop becoming faithless but become a believer.” Just as the Lord had a personal interest in “doubting Thomas,” He wants to help your doubts and disbelief as well. Some of you may have some genuine intellectual questions about the Christian faith. If you do, and you’re serious about getting some answers, the Lord will give you the evidence you’re looking for.

However, some of you may be hiding behind your questions and doubts when the truth of the matter is that you have a hard heart and you don’t want to believe. In other words, you’re not really interested in the proof of Christianity because you don’t want to stop living the way you’ve been living. Your problem may not be intellectual in nature; it may be moral.

JESUS CALLS US TO SAVING FAITH.

Faith isn’t a feeling but a conscious choice to believe what God has said. Faith acts even in the midst of doubt. When Thomas came face-to-face with the Resurrected Christ, He made a bold confession: “My Lord and my God!” Jesus did not come just to live a good life and to be a good teacher. He came in order to die as full payment for our sins. The resurrection validates all of His claims and verifies that He has conquered sin, Satan, and death. The disciples had the privilege of seeing Jesus with their own eyes. Thomas was able to investigate for Himself. But it wasn’t the seeing that saved them; it was their believing. Verse 29 gives us the seventh exclamation: “Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”

If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ, you are blessed. You have believed without seeing. Verse 31 summarises the entire purpose of the Gospel of John: “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John wasn’t interested in just writing a biography about Jesus. He didn’t just want us to know about the miracles and His teachings. He wrote his gospel so that our lives would be changed. And our lives will only change when we believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. It’s only when we believe that we can have life.

The exclamation of Easter ultimately points to this question. Are you going to believe? Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

BECAUSE JESUS IS ALIVE,

He will meet you right where you are.
He knows you personally and loves you unconditionally.
He’s given you a message to communicate.
He has granted you peace in the midst of your turmoil.
He’s given you power to do what He’s asking.
He’s big enough to deal with your doubts.
He’s calling you to saving faith.

A guest lecturer spoke at a prominent seminary for two and a half-hours, arguing that the resurrection of Jesus never took place. The professor quoted scholar after scholar and book after book. He concluded by saying it was absurd to believe in something that defied logic. He then asked if there were any questions. After about 30 seconds, an old preacher with a head of woolly white hair stood up in the back of the auditorium. ”Doctor Professor, I got one question,” he said as all eyes turned toward him. He reached into his lunch box and pulled out an apple and began eating it.

CRUNCH, MUNCH, “My question is a simple question,”…. CRUNCH, MUNCH… “Now, I ain’t never read them books you read”…CRUNCH, MUNCH… “And I can’t recite the Scriptures in the original Greek”…CRUNCH, MUNCH… “I don’t know nothin’ about Niebuhr and Heidegger”….CRUNCH, MUNCH… He then finished his apple and said, “I just have one question. Was this apple I just ate bitter or sweet?” The professor paused for a moment and answered in a very scholarly voice: “I cannot possibly answer that question, for I haven’t tasted your apple.” The white-haired preacher dropped the core of his apple into his crumpled paper bag, looked up at the professor and said calmly, “Neither have you tasted my Jesus.” The people in the audience could not contain themselves as they erupted with applause and cheers. The professor thanked his audience and promptly left the platform.

MULT-FAITH TEAM

Mixing the Christian Faith with other faiths reduces belief, creates confusion and makes Christians easy picking for Satan and his false prophets. (Dr David Pawson)

No one loves like a Christian does.  Christian love gives attention and takes notice of people.  This Biblical love is known as agape.  Christians must agape everyone but must reject their sins.
A recently Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Team leaflet aimed at people in hospitals read, ‘We are a Multi-Faith Team – together we honour religious differences.’ It went on to say, ‘we’re committed to work together to assisting with spiritual religious needs.’

Can you imagine the Prophet Elijah (1 Kings Chapter 18) praying or working together with the prophets of Baal?  See Matthew 11:14 …He (John the Baptist) is Elijah. These Christian Chaplains need to read 1 Kings 18:36-40 to learn from the Prophet John the Baptist on how to handle non-Judeo-Christian prophets.

No human being has higher moral values than John the Baptist.
The Prophet Elijah (1 Kings Chapter 18) is not just another prophet from the Old Testament ‘Jesus said, John the Baptist was the greatest prophet to have ever lived.’ (Matthew 11:11) John the Baptist had a unique privilege because he prepared the way for the Messiah and Kingdom of God.

John the Baptise also known as Elijah was prophesied, (Malachi 3:1 and 4:5) to prepare the way for the Messiah.

We should learn from the greatest prophet ever lived on how to deal with false prophets on 1 Kings 18:36-40.

The Lord Jesus Christ said, ‘I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.  NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.’ (JOHN 14:6)

Jesus is the only way to God (ACTS 4:12) he alone can provide access to God.  Jesus fulfils the teaching of the Old Testament (John 1:17) and reveals the true God (JOHN 1:4, 17; 5:33; 18:37 also 8:40, 45-46; 14:9). Jesus alone is the life who fulfils the Old Testament promises of ‘life’ given by God. (JOHN 11:25-26) Therefore he is able to confer eternal life to all those who believe in Him. (JOHN 3:16).

By saying ‘I AM’ He (Jesus) makes a claim to deity (JOHN 6:35) Jesus refers to Himself as ‘I AM’ in keeping with the reference to God as seen in EXODUS 3:14 and the Book of ISAIAH (ISA. 41:4; 43:10, 25) Jesus is the ‘BREAD OF LIFE’ in the sense that He nourishes people spiritually and satisfies the deep spiritual longings of their souls.  In that sense, those who trust in Him (the Lord Jesus Christ) shall not hunger, as they are spiritually by God (JOHN 4:14)

In JOHN 10:30 Jesus states ‘I (JESUS CHRIST) and the FATHER (THE ALMIGHTY GOD) are ONE’ I  AM and the Father implies more than one person in the Godhead, but ‘ARE ONE’ implies that God is ONE BEING.

John 8:24 ‘I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WOULD DIE IN YOUR SINS, FOR UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM HE, YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS.’ I AM HE simply means ‘I AM THE MESSIAH’
Colossians 1:15 the Pre-eminence of Christ, ‘He is the image of the invisible God, firstborn of all creation.  For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible….’
Rejecting the above statement s is a spiritual deception.  People who reject the above statements have an alternative messiahs and saviours.

They have alternative Scriptures to the Judeo-Christian Bible.  Believing these alternative systems to the Judeo-Christian Scriptures have equal values to the Judeo-Christian Scriptures is a spiritual deception. (Pastor Stuarts Briscoe)

JOHN 10:25-27 Jesus answered them ‘I TOLD YOU AND YOU DO NOT BELIEVES.  THE WORKS THAT I DO IN MY FATHER’S NAME BEAR WITNESS ABOUT ME.  BUT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PART OF MY FLOCK.  MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOWME.’

The reason people do not believe is because they are not part of Jesus’ flock, implying that God must first give them the ability to believe and make them part of His people with a NEW HEART.

In Matthew 12:30, JESUS SAID,’WHOEVER IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME AND WHOEVER DOES NOT GATHER WITH ME SCATTERS’ The Lord Jesus Christ does not allow anyone to remain neutral about Him. Also see Mark 9:38-41

Christians, understand from the Early Christians that the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ do not to mix the Christian Faith with other faiths.  Go back to the foundational teaching passed by early Christians when dealing with world religions/false prophets.

1 Kings 18:36-40 see how the Prophets Elijah (John the Baptist) handled the prophets of Baal.  Jesus and His Disciples arrived in the district of Caesarea Philippi, a centre of world’s religions.  Peter boldly confesses that Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16:13-16) and in ACTS 17:16-25 Paul in Athens, he declared to the religious people of the world that the God of the Bible is all they needed.

For the Early Christians it didn’t matter whether they believed in God or not.  What mattered to them was which god you believe in?  They knew (1 Corinthians 10:19-20) that false religions were not merely the result of human imagination and human energy but have demonic power behind them.  The Early Christians knew that not everything that seems ‘supernatural’ is from God.

There is a beautiful rich fertile country in the region of West Africa. Before the war, it was one of the best places to live.  It has great weather, white sandy beaches, beautiful scenery and wonderful  friendly people.  However, people of all religions lived side by side and joined in celebrating each others religious festivals.  The Christian God hated that the Christian Faith was mixing with other faiths so Christ took his blessings and left.  Talk about civil war
Instead of Christians uniting with other faiths, lets call for Christian unity and for Christians to support Israel for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Gospels.  For unity within the Church is the strongest demonstration of the ONE GOD, the ONE CHRIST.  Disunity in the Church is the quickest way to stop the Church influencing society. CHURCH SCHOOL ADMISSION

Church School s are fantastic environments for children to learn and grown as they are blessed by God.   However, non-Judeo-Christian faiths are creeping in and this will drive down standard because the Lord Jesus Christ will take His blessings and leave.

Colossians 2:8 ‘See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy (non-Judeo-Christian prophets) and empty deceit according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirit of the world…’

Non-Judeo-Christian religions pose a great threat to Christian children, as it takes them away from Jesus Christ and disqualifying their Christian in heritage.   False prophet teaching is not only empty deceit but is inspired by demonic forces.

Church Schools are admitting people who reject that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and the Saviour of the world.  It is out right wrong for people who have alternative to the Judeo-Christian Scriptures, are allowed into Christian Schools. (Stuart Briscoe)

1 Corinthians 10:14…RUN! RUN! The correct criteria of Church schools admission should be:  the majority must be Christians; followed by Jewish, and then a small percentage of children from parents who have no believe at all (regardless their backgrounds) but who do not mind that their children become Christians if they want to as a result of attending a Church School.  This way it is more helpful in bringing people to Christ.  For it is far more difficult to convert someone who is already have their own belief than a person who have no belief at all. The Lord God created all people but He adopted only Jews and Christians, first Jews and later He added Christians.  Jews are the brother and sister of the Christians. There is no other. The Lord God never adopted a third or fourth people.  Still not all the Israelites recognise Jesus Christ as the Messiah yet.  But do not to worry. The Lord God has a plan for our brothers and sisters.

The Lord said, ‘…And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.  And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.’ (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

All invited:  anyone who believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and He alone is the Saviour of the world (regardless of who you are) can become a child of the Most High God too.  And call Him Father as well.  But if you deny the Son, you have no access to the Father.

Church Schools should stand firm on Christianity and in unity to send a strong message to the world that the Lord Jesus Christ is the messiah! And He is Alive! There is no Saviour before Christ and there is no Saviour after Christ.  Jesus Christ loves you!

SHALOM ISRAEL

 Israel, the brothers and sisters of the Christians peace be with you.  The Lord God loves you and we Christians love you.  It is true that most of the time it does not seem that Christians care,  but any person who call themselves a Christian but gangs up with your enemies against you, is yet to meet Christ and Christ is yet to know that person.   It is true that the Lord God creates all people but He adopted only Israel and the Christians, therefore we share the same Heavenly Father.  So do not feel all alone when nations join up and threaten you.  Stand firm with the Lord and do not yield to any external pressures.  For the Lord God says:

Isaiah 48:17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God.  Who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.’

The whole of the Holy Land is called Israel and it is yours to keep.  It must never be divided or called  any other names.  The whole of Jerusalem is yours and it is the capital city of Israel.  So get all the countries to move their embassies to the capital, Jerusalem.  It must never be divided.  Do not listen to nations/individuals who are telling you how to manage your own internal affairs (some of them can’t even manage their own!).  Besides, you are one of the most intelligent people ever to have walked on earth so you don’t need lecture from anyone.   Israel, the Lord God is all you need.

Psalm 83:3 ‘They (the gentiles) lay crafty plans against your people (Israel); they consult together against your treasured ones.’

Israel, you are not alone.  In fact, you are in the majority.  Walk with the Lord God, for He is on your side.  The angel of the Lord (the Arch Angel Michael) is on standby to protect and defend you against all your enemies.   Do not yield to human pressures demanding you to disobey the Lord God by dividing the Holy Land that the Lord God gave you.   For if you  disobey the Lord and stray away from Him, He will do everything possible to bring you back in line in order He fulfil His purpose for you and for the rest of mankind for the sake of His Holy Name.

The followings are messages from the Bible to all the enemies of Israel:
Jeremiah 49:37 ‘I will terrify Elam (gentiles’ collision against Israel) before their enemies and before those who seek their life.  I will bring disaster upon them, my fierce anger, declared the Lord.  I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.’

Zechariah 2:8 ‘For thus said the Lord of hosts, after His glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of His (God) eye.’  Whoever assaults the Lord’s people assaults the apple of His (God) eye, that is, the pupil, one of the most sensitive parts of the anatomy.

Joel 3:2 ‘I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.  And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land.’

Psalm 110:6 ‘He (God) will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses.’

Isaiah 66:18 ‘For I know their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues.  And they shall come and shall see my glory.’

Jeremiah 25:31 ‘The clamour will resound to the ends of the earth, for the Lord has an indictment against the nations; He is entering into judgment with all flesh, and the wicked He will put to the sword, declares the Lord.’

 Ezekiel 39:21 ‘And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them.’

 Micah 4:11-12 ‘Now many nations are assemble against you, saying ‘Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion’  But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.’

Zephaniah 3:8 ‘Therefore wait for me,’ declares the Lord, ‘for the day when I rise up to seize the prey.  For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed.’

SECOND LETTER TO THE BBC

Britain is a Christian country; therefore stop sending toxic programs into people’s homes.  Being Godless does not suit the BBC.  Stay firm on your territory making and sending out good programs such as Biblical/Christian programs presented by Christians, and other programs like ‘who do you think you are’ and ‘Strictly Kosher’.

Please do something and sort out your employees at the BBC Religious and Ethic Dept.  They are sending out dangerous and twisted programs right into the British’s homes to mislead and destroy vulnerable individuals such as our future generation.

The Religious and Ethic Dept brings in atheists to advertise their books and mock the Most High God.  They make fun of the Most High God who creates the heavens and the earth, along with everything in them.  Ungrateful atheists!  God’s free gifts (water and air) keep you going.

Mark 8:36 ‘For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?’

BBC’s Religious and Ethic Dept is unfair to Christians.   This Godless Dept keeps on insulting Christians every Sunday.  People with alternative scriptures to Judeo-Christian Scriptures are being allowed to infiltrate and contaminate Christian programs on Sundays. It is totally unacceptable for non-Christians people to present Sunday programs.

If the BBC’s so called Religious and Ethic Dept do not have any kind of moral values at all, do them keep it within your four walls and stop influencing young children with your deadly immoral behaviours.  Stop sending cheap programs into British homes.  Stop misleading vulnerable children.

ANTI-SEMITISM AND ABORTION

Biblical expert, Dr David Pawson believes that Satan is behind anti-Semitism and Abortion:

Throughout the Bible, it can be seen how Satan attempt to prevent the Messiah from being born.
The Pharoah called for all Hebrew male children to be killed at birth (Satan). (Exodus 1:16) Note, God refers Israel as His ‘first born Son’ (Exodus 4:22) it was Pharoah’s first born son that died.
(Exodus 4:23)  In the New Testament, King Herod (Satan) killed all male children under two years old but Jesus the Messiah escaped. Satan having failed to prevent the Messiah from being born, he concentrates on aborting children in Christian countries to prevent future Christian leaders.  No wonder that abortions are much higher in Christian countries. In the Bible we are told, the Lord sets people apart (Jews and Christians) for preaching God’s word.
‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’ (Jeremiah 1:5)

‘Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.’ Save those poor unborn babies suffering under the wicked ones – Satan and his human puppets. (Proverbs 24:11-12)

According to the Bible, the unborn child should be thought of as a human person from the point of conception in his mother’s womb.

Psalm 51:5 ‘Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.’
Satan’s deceptions:  ‘It is my body.’

It is lies your body does not belong to you.  It belongs to God and it is His temple:

 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 ‘Do you not know that are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?  If anyone destroys God’s temple (their bodies) God will destroy him.  For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.’  The temple is God’s dwelling.  The one who destroys God’s temple is not part of Gods people and so faces eternal destruction on the final day, just as God eventually destroyed the Babylonians who had destroyed Solomon’s temple.  (The Bible)

Watch out: Satan’s aim is to take as many people as possible to hell with him.  He uses his knowledge of people to attract them to him.   He has six thousand years experience of man under his belt.  So our life experience is no match for him.  He lies and waits like a wild beast to attack us when we are at our most vulnerable time.  However, he cannot force anyone of us to abort a child against our wills.  He will try to convince us that it is ok to abort we are all still fully responsible for all our actions.

Satan’s deceptions: ‘It is my child.’
It is false.  One does not own one’s child.  A child does not come from his/her parents.  The child came from God through their parents. Acts 17:28 ‘For in him (God) we live and move and have our being…for we are indeed his (God’s) offspring’. God made us, we are God’s offspring.
Do not commit murder,

Genesis 9:5   ‘And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man.  From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.’  This means that any person that takes a human life will be held accountable by God.

Aborting the unborn child is an attack on God Himself,
Genesis 4:24‘If Cain’s revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech’s is seventy-sevenfold.’  Human life is to be valued so highly that it is protected by a system of punishment.  This is because God made man in His own image, and so to murder another human being is to murder what is most like God, and is thus implicitly an attack on God himself. The body is not meant for sexual immorality

1 Corinthians 6:12-13 ‘All things are lawful for me, ‘but not all things are helpful.  ‘All things are lawful for me, ‘but I will not be enslaved by anything.  Food is meant for the stomach and stomach for food – God will destroy both one and the other.  The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord.  A Christian’s body will be eternal. Proverbs 24:12 If you say, ‘Behold, we did not know this’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?  Does not he who ‘Keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?’

Confess sins and then maintain fellowship with God,

1 John 1:9 – ‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’

Isaiah 1:18 ‘Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.’

Respect and Honour to the Lord God

‘Faith Community’ is really what Britain needs?
The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel) Joseph, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul is against all other gods/religions.  In fact He calls them dirty, see Ezekiel 36:25. This means if we put Him to work with other faiths, you are committing idolatry which is an insult to the Most High God.  The very sin the Judeo-Christian Scriptures told us to run away from.

1 Corinthians 10:14-15 Paul strongly advised us, ‘Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.  I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.’

And the Lord God says

Isaiah 46:9-10 The Lord God says, ‘I am God, there is no other; I am God, there is none like me. ..’
The Bible tells us the Judeo-Christian God is different from other gods, as chalk is different from cheese. He alone is the true God. He alone is the creator and controller of heavens and earth. There’s non like Him.  People of Britain, you cannot participate in idolatry and then think that you will receive eternal life on the last day according to Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 10. Colossians 3:5-6 ‘…which is idolatry.  On account of these, wrath of God is coming.’  Paul reminds the Colossians that God will suddenly intervene in human history and will hold everyone accountable.  Those who live evil lives will face final judgement.  (The English Standard Version Study Bible)

Idolatry is the way people insult the Lord God by worshiping anything other than the Lord God Himself.  So if you’re a follower of the Judeo-Christian God and you stand shoulder to shoulder with other religions/gods or go to their worship places or eat food that have been offered to these gods, you’re committing idolatry. In other words, you’re insulting the True Most High God, the God of the Bible. (Dr David Pawson)

Ezekiel 36:23 And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them.  And the nations will know that I am the Lord declares the Lord God.

Learn from the Early Christians. Christianity is a ‘saving faith’, the ingredients of a ‘saving faith’ are:  Revelation from the Father, Reconciliation through the Son, and Recreation by the Holy Spirit.  And note, the Israelites are Christians’ brothers and sisters because the Lord Jesus Christ identified Himself with them (the Israelites) and the God of the Old Testament is the same God as of the New Testament.  The Lord God has a plan for our brothers and sisters, the Israelites (see below).  If the LordJesus Christ and His Gospels were to be watered down in order to fit in with non-Judeo-Christian religions/ gods, Christianity would then become ‘a practising faith’ instead of a ‘saving faith. Facts about Satan:  He is an Antichrist.  Anti does not mean against.  It means instead of.  He enjoys seeing Christians not getting on with each other. Yes, he wants to divide our tongues – Christians against Christians and Christians’ countries against Christians’ countries.   He takes stuffs from the Bible out of context and twists them to make them mean something different.  He is a master of disguise.  He often tells half of the truth to convince that he is telling the complete truth.  Telling half of the truth is far more deceptive and dangerous than out right lies. In Deuteronomy 28:15-68 the Lord God gives 60 causes that comes onto a nation/individual that disobeys Him.   Isaiah 63:17 talks about ‘harden hearts’
We have to be constantly on our guard to help protect ourselves from becoming one of Satan’s human puppets.  He and his demons are against all flesh and blood.  Love the sinner but hate the sin.   Let us show love and kindness to each other as we are all one race; the human race.

Wake up, Same-sex marriage is offensive to the Lord God

What is going on?  Britain is normally associated with great things like living and keeping God’s laws found in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures.  This country is not normally famous for breaking Biblical Laws, but implementing the laws.  In fact British people have long history of leading a Biblical life in all corners of the Earth.  Britain, continue to walk on the path.

Do not copy other countries in breaking God’s laws.  Your country was founded on Christian roots, you have great history and connections with many brilliant nations; the Commonwealth countries.  Great Britain, do stay in your rightful place that is amongst the greatest countries in the world.  Stop behaving like a brainless little country with no sense of moral values. Otherwise you are no longer a friend of the Lord God and will be thrown out by many countries that see you as a mother country.

Keep the Biblical model of marriage and stop meddling with it.

There is a force that aims to redefine the idea of marriage and family.  Resist it. We cannot reinvent our fundamental institutions without going against the created order.  To think God’s creation is malleable – that the sexes are interchangeable or that men and women can find personal fulfilment in other ways is a fantasy.  And as the pairing of any two (or group of) people who consent regardless of gender, age, or model of sexual expression.

Listen to the advice of the men of God (Pope Benedict, Lord Carey, the Archbishop Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop John Sentamu, the Archbishop Peter Smith and Cardinal Keith O’Brien) on marriage. They all say legalising same-sex marriage is wrong.

The Bible says in Daniel 1:20 ‘Godly men advisers are ten times better than pagan advisers.  Godly men are placed in a unique position where they could be a blessing to the whole country and build up the society for the better‘.   The Judeo-Christian God claims to have created marriage and that He alone has the exclusive right to dictate who marries.    As we go through the pages of the Bible, we will realise marriage is God’s gift to mankind. 

Genesis 2:23-24 the man said, “this at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.  Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

When no suitable companion is found among all the living beings, God fashions a woman from the man’s own flesh – Genesis 2:23-24 highlights the sense of oneness that exists between the man and woman.  Adam joyfully proclaims ‘this at last is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh’.  This sentence and Eve’s creation both point that marriage creates the closet of all human relationship.  It is also important to observe that God creates only one Eve for Adam, not several Eves or another

It is a fantasy to think that by violating God’s Laws on marriage and the family will bring freedom and happiness in our society.  Happiness came from the word ‘blessing’ and blessing comes only from God.  Removing the Word of God in marriage and the family will unleash untold destruction, anxiety and distress in our country.  Before trying to recreate Sodom and Gomorrah in Britain, think about what happened to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. The males of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to have sex with the Angels of the Lord (also males) a result the whole area and all the inhabitants were destroyed and buried under the Dead Sea.

Genesis 19:24-25 the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulphur and fire from out of heaven(verse 24) These words emphasize the divine nature of the punishment, the consequence of which is the total destruction of all the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and all the vegetation (verse 25).  The theme of universal destruction echoes the flood story.

This judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, the flood of, Chapters 6-9, and later destruction of the Canaanites when the people of Israel entered the Promised Land (Deut. 20:16-18) all vividly demonstrate God’s righteous wrath against sin!  His mercy in rescuing the godly from destruction, and the certainty of the final judgment to come (2 Peter 2:4-10) (the English Standard Version Study Bible)

It is clear from the Bible that God prohibited a man having sex with another man or a woman having sex with another woman.   Open the Bible and read the following verses for yourself.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns men who practise sex with other men will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 1:26-27 warns about females having sex with another female and same sex sexual practice in general. ‘For this reason God gave them up to dishonourable passions.  For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another; men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.’
Leviticus 18:22 tells us, ‘You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.’ This prohibited all same sex sexual practice.

Do not be deceived: Hell is a real place (please watch ‘The Gates of Hell on Sky! It gives a glimpse of what Hell is like) and please don’t let anyone send you there.  Do remember, once you’re born, you’ll always exist somewhere.  When you die, you will exit somewhere, either in Heaven with God or to Hell with the Devil.  One thing is for sure, you’ll always exist in one of these two places.  How long? Well, remember it is not just for 70, or 7000 years but for eternity.  Anyone who encourages you to sin against the Lord God, that person does not care about you. Know your enemy

In John 8:44 Jesus’ reply to a group of Jews who were resisting His message – Jesus boldly told them that they were children of their father the devil, and that they were not hearing the truth because their father’s native language was lies.  A person’s native language is what he converses in most easily.  And Satan speaks the language of deception most fluently. Revelation 12:9 refers to Satan as the one ‘who deceives the whole world,’ which he does by imitating the work of God with counterfeit and camouflage. (Dr David Jeremiah)

Satan’s purpose is: Divide et imp era – meaning ‘Divide and rule,’ or ‘Divide and conquer’

Satan divides:  he is the great divider.  When he was cast out of heaven he divided the angels, taking a third into rebellion with him (Revelation 12:4).  He divided the first couple, bringing sin and disharmony between Adam and Eve.  He divided the first family, pitting Cain against Abel (Genesis 4:8) In the early Church, Satan influenced the heart of Ananias, dividing his loyalty between God and money (Acts 5:3)

Satan continues his strategy of division.  He injects into humanity the poisons of suspicion, intolerance, hatred, jealousy and criticism. The tongue is a fire, a word of iniquity.  The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell… it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. (James 3:6,8)

This poison ejected through the tongue is one of Satan’s most divisive strategies.  It divides husband from wife, brother from brother, friend from friend, family from family, church from church, and even nation from nation.  All these divisions are steps towards Satan’s ultimate goal: to divide the soul from the body, bringing us down into the state of being divided eternally from God.  Only our utter dependence on the unifying sacrifice of Christ can prevent this from happening. Be alert and put on the armour of the Lord Jesus Christ – you are in a battlefield fighting against an invisible and un-uniformed enemy.  He uses ruthless and unconventional tactics, such as deceit, deflection, and disguise.  The most pointed evidence of Satan’s activity was in his efforts to keep the Saviour of the world from being born in Bethlehem and carrying out His mission on earth.  He has tried everything he could to thwart God’s step-by-step plan to bring this to fruition.  Satan tried to keep the Hebrews enslaved in Egypt and to keep them from entering the Promised Land.  He tempted them to worship false gods, causing God to send them into exile.  He tried to disrupt the rebuilding for the temple and the wall around Jerusalem when the remnant returned from Babylon.  He tried to kill the infant Jesus by destroying all the baby boys of Bethlehem.  He tried to keep Jesus from completely obeying the Father during the forty days in the wilderness.  He tried to destroy Jesus at the hands of His opponents, and prompted Judas to betray Jesus into the hands of men who would execute Him under the false charges of blasphemy and sedition. How sin spreads

Sin spreads from worse countries to better countries and from cities to towns, from urban to rural areas (Dr David Pawson)

Britain once believed that idolatry and immorality are sins so they went far and wide into the world taking the Bible with them and told people the difference between right and wrong.  But today they can’t even call sin sin, in-fact, they’re even importing idolatry and immorality in a big way. London is the worse hit.

Apparently, Billy Graham once said in Wembley, London, ‘If God does nothing about London, He will have to apologise to Sodom and Gomorrah.’    (Dr David Pawson)

Are London’s sins overflowing into little Brighton?  Brighton has good transport links, magnificent hotels, great restaurants and superb promenades/sea front which make it ideal for people from all areas to spend their holidays strolling by the sea and enjoying the sea breeze.

Brighton today appears to have dark clouds hanging over it. Non-Christian religions (idolatry) and immorality have taken over. The Lord’s house – the Cathedral and churches are neglected and ignored. The Lord God and His blessings are gone too.

Idolatry is the way of insulting the Lord God.  The God cannot be mocked – He is all powerful and He is the One who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar (Jeremiah 31:35).

The fabricators and governors of the world of idolatry and immorality are Satan and his team. The devil’s team consist of him (Satan), the False Prophet, the Antichrist and gangs of demons (fallen angels) – together they are the evil angels.  (Dr David Jeremiah)

1 Corinthians 6:16-18 Unity with Christ is incompatible with all sin (Romans 6:6) but particularly with sexual sin. Because sexual union has a spiritual component – sexual sin is a unique sin both against Christ and one’s own body. (The Bible)

Sexual immorality examples – bear in mind that all angels are male in gender: the heavenly beings (some angels) left their proper domain and went after strange flesh – with the daughters of man. As a result, these angels were banished to Hell and the Earth was flooded – see Genesis 6:2 to Genesis 7:24. Again, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for going after strange flesh. Injustice: The Bible also talks about injustice.  Injustice is the way people injure each other – the Israelites are the most mistreated people and received the longest injustice in history – and they are still suffering even today.

Leviticus chapter 26 outlined the rewards for obedience and punishment for disobedience: cost to an individual: (1) you could lose your home (2) lose your citizenship e.g. your passport (3) lose your life. Who’s who in the Hell’s angels?

A brief ranking of the evil angels:

The Bible says if you participate with demons (1Corinthians 8:9 & 10:21) you cannot then expect to receive eternal life on the last day.  We are advised to take note that demons delight in the worship of any ‘god’ but the One True God (1 Corinthians 10:19-20) False religions are not just the result of human imagination and human energy but have demonic power behind them – Not everything that seems ‘supernatural’ is from God. Letter to the BBC

Jesus Christ is being thrown out of the BBC’s Religious and Ethic Dept!

Dear BBC

The BBC was once the finest organization in the world – known for its first class programs and brilliant communication skills – that was when it was operating under the God of the Bible.  But today, this fine corporation is becoming an idolatrous and busy bodied immoral monster – its so called Religious and Ethic Dept is insulting the God of the Holy Bible and continuously pumping poisonous substances into Britain’s living rooms.

The BBC’s Religious and Ethic Dept are removing the A.D. (Anno Domini-the year of Our Lord) and the B.C. (Before Christ) and replacing it with the Common Era and Before Common Era. What is going on?  This action is disrespectful, inconsiderate, distasteful and very offensive to the Lord Jesus Christ and to all His followers – this is dishonouring our Lord Jesus Christ and removing a piece of very valuable British History – a calendar that had been used for the last 1,500 years.

The Religious and Ethic Dept seemed very hostile towards the Lord Jesus Christ – they are wiping out all things that are Christian from the BBC – the very thing that blessed the United Kingdom.  Why so antichrist? Britain was founded on Christianity and her wellbeing is dependant on the Judeo-Christian God.

In the last few years the Religious and Ethic Dept have been showing many trashy twisted so called biblical programs aimed to discredit the Holy Bible and the blasphemy against the Lord Jesus Christ – this is idolatrous – idolatry is the way of insulting the Lord God.  The BBC’s Religious and Ethic Dept has to stop insulting the God of the Bible and stop also pumping poisonous substance into Britain’s living rooms – enough is enough this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable from any Dept of the BBC.

 Britain’s wellbeing depends on the Judeo-Christian God – put back the A.D. (Anno Domini- the year of Our Lord) and the B.C. (Before Christ) and remove the ridiculous terms, the Common Era and Before Common Era from the BBC. Stop vandalising the history of Britain – the calendar that has been used in this country for the last 1,500 years. Stop mocking the Lord Jesus Christ and stop hurting Christians with your reckless behaviour.  Leave the Songs of Praise inside the house of the Lord (the Church) not outside.   Christians want to see inside Britain’s many beautiful churches and join in the worship on Sundays – we’re not interested in looking at scenery or cows eating grass. On Sundays we just want to hear and see Christian matters on both the Radio and Television – that’s all. (Sundays are for Christians.)

The Godly Model for Marriage and the Family

Britain was once a leading nation on believing, living and encouraging the Divine Model for marriage and the family – sex is confined to heterosexual marriage.   Britain went afar and wide into the world to help people understand God’s intention for marriage and the Family. Sadly, Britain’s champion for marriage and the family is drifting from the very thing that made it a blessed and a great nation – obeying the Law of the Most High God – the God of the Bible!

Stable marriages and families are the basic building blocks of society and that part of our moral and spiritual confusion can be tied to the break down of marriage, it makes sense; if the building blocks crumble, it is inevitable that the entire structure of society will also crumble! Common view points: “Why should I be bound by societal restrictions or ancient, outdated mores?  I want to rule my own life!”  But as Proverbs 16:25 tells us, there is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death.  Or, as Aptly summarised by the nineteenth century Scottish author George MacDonald, “The one principle of hell is, “I am my Own.”

The changing views on marriage in our culture reflect a fundamental shift in the foundation of our values – from being based on God’s Word to being established by societal consensus.’ (Dr David Jeremiah)

What marriage is not: marriage is not the union of multiple partners or same-sex partners. (Dr David Jeremiah)

The man said, “this at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” ‘ (Genesis 2:23-24)

When no suitable companion is found among all the living beings, God fashions a woman from the man’s own flesh – Genesis 2:23-24 highlights the sense of oneness that exists between the man and woman. Adam joyfully proclaims ‘this at last is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh’. This sentence and Eve’s creation both point that marriage creates the closet of all human relationship. It is also important to observe that God creates only one Eve for Adam, not several Eves or another Adam. Heterosexual monogamy is the divine pattern for marriage.

1 Corinthians 6:16-17 tells us the unity with Christ is incompatible with all sin (Romans 6:6) but particularly with sexual sin because sexual union has a spiritual component. Sexual activity outside marriage is unique sin both against Christ (1 Corinthians 6:15) and one’s own body (1 Corinthians 6:18). Defending a Meaningful Marriage (Dr David Jeremiah)

‘The marital ideal – one man and one woman bound in body and soul, sharing, comforting, communicating through good times and bad – is very appealing even, or perhaps particularly, in a cynical age.’ (Dr David Jeremiah)

One man and one woman united spiritually, emotionally, physically, publicly, and legally, in a lifetime bond of loyal love, for procreation, channelling sexual and emotional energy, and serving as a civilized and stabilized factor in society. This Biblical ideal for marriage goes back to the creation of the world, when fundamental natural and human order was established.  God created humans, both male and female, to be bearers of His image and stewards of all creation. In the beginning, God did not create a social group of multiple humans and then pair the males with females as a way of bringing order to society. Marriage does bring order, but it has a far deeper purpose: it is fundamental to the very design of life on earth.  Marriage is a male and female coming together to function as “one flesh.”  It is a united pair whose synergistic potential is greater together than if they remained single and simply lived together without permanent commitment.  Something stable and immovable happens when two individuals unite as one in a permanent bond.  The permanence enables them to build for the future, passing on to their progeny material security, education, ethics, and knowledge of God – all of which form building blocks for a stable society.  This is fundamental to the way couples are to use their paired identity to act as stewards of creation and bear the image of God to the rest of creation.   (Dr David Jeremiah)

God made man – a male.  And then He designed another human beings who was the same as him, but different – a woman, a female.  The man and woman corresponded to each other in a unique way, both in terms of their bodies and their personalities.  And God brought them together and gave them to each other in a special relationship.  This was the first marriage, and it was the pattern of marriage.  From the very beginning, it was designed by God as a gift to humanity and the foundation of social order. It’s important to notice that the union God established in Genesis 2 was characterized by the words of husband and wife.  The word wife appears in Genesis 2:24 “A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife.”  And the word husband appears seven verses later: “She also gave to her husband” (Genesis 3:6) Dr David Jeremiah

Marriage then is a covenant partnership between one man and one woman who unite in an exclusive relationship as husband and wife. (Dr David Jeremiah)

We cannot reinvent our fundamental institutions without going against the created order.  To think God’s creation is malleable – that the sexes are interchangeable or that men and women can find personal fulfilment in other ways often leads to disaster, bother personal and societal.  Nothing ultimately functions correctly unless we use it in the way it was created to be used.  To employ the human body and psyche in ways they were not created to be used will lead to the same kind of disaster as trying to use your automobile as a motorboat.  You may feel exhilaration and freedom as you fly though the air after driving your car off the pier, but it will not float for long when it lands in the water.   (Dr David Jeremiah)

God Designed Marriage for the Purpose of Procreation

Shortly after Adam and Eve were create, they received their first commission: God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply’ (Genesis 1:22) This command was repeated at the ‘second beginning’ of humanity following the great flood: God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth’ (Genesis 9:1) Procreation is part of God’s creation mandate for the man and woman… (It) ensures the continuation of the human race and enables it to fulfil God’s mandate of cultivating the earth for God. But some say, ‘why prevent people who love each other from getting married?’ 

Because, love alone is not enough – here’re some of the problems:

The arguments will proceeds along the same lines as – ‘I want to have four wives, because we all love each other.’ (Polygamy) And another man says, ‘Why shouldn’t   I be able to marry my sister?’ And yet others make more exotic claims: ‘I love my dog and my dog loves me.’ The point is that love is a desirable, but not sufficient, condition for marriage.  (Dr David Jeremiah)

Marriage is not merely a private arrangement between two persons.  It is a core social institution, one that helps to ensure the economic, social and emotional welfare of countless children, women, and men in this nation… Marriage is the incubator of children – it is the only known mechanism for the healthy cultivation of the next generation.  (Dr David Jeremiah)

Note, while Adam was single, Satan did not approach him or tempt him to disobey God – He waited until after Adams’ marriage to launch his attack.  You would think it easier to attack one person instead of two, but by waiting he was able to attack not just an individual, but also God’s foundational building block for harmony and stability – marriage.  By attacking marriage, he was able to create division and disharmony between humans themselves as well as between humans and God.  Satan still follows that strategy today.  He knows that, as marriage goes, so goes stability in the societies of the world.  The more disruption he can create in societies through attacking marriage, the better are his chances taking people’s eyes off God and their own survival.  (Dr David Jeremiah)

Re: Israel

It is a breath of fresh air when someone as great as you who is the Prime Minister of one of the greatest countries in the world declares publically the support for Israel in spite of all the intimidations going on around the world – this is wonderful.

 You know the Bible and you abide by it – may the Lord God continue blessing you and your country.  Please pray for my country, the United Kingdom and our brothers and sisters in America to take the same stand as you do towards Israel.

1 Corinthians 12:12 says Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts from one body, so it is with Christ.

Britain’s wellbeing depends on Israel

The wellbeing of the United Kingdom depends on the wellbeing of the Israelites in their own country – the Holy Land – and this also applies to America. Therefore, we cannot afford to be hesitant to openly declare the support for Israel – follow the example of the   Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada – he understands Judeo-Christian Scriptures well.

The Bible in Genesis 12:3 states clearly – I will bless those who bless you (Israel) and I will curse him who curses you (Israel) and in you (Israel) all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Why the Israelites?

Genesis 12:1-3 – The Lord God chose a man named Abraham and promised to create a people for Himself through that man and his wife, Sarah. Those descendants became God’s chosen people. (Deuteronomy 7:6-8; Psalm 33:12).  God made a promise to Abraham and kept it – and that promise has never been rescinded (Jeremiah 31:35-37).  He created a people to demonstrate His loving character to the rest of the world. The Bible is clear:  Support Israel and be blessed, or oppress her and be cursed. The big question for the United Kingdom and the United States  is – will they support Israel’s return to her homeland and continue to aid her progress in fulfilling God’s purpose to be a channel of blessing to the world just like the following wise and wonderful people?’

The United Kingdom’s very best Prime Ministers:  Winston Churchill, Harold Wilson, Lady Thatcher and the United State’s finest Presidents: Harry Truman and Abraham Lincoln and today’s blessed, Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper – these great people all have one very good thing in common – they were all very wise! They obeyed the Judeo-Christian teachings of the Bible about Israel. These wise leaders pleased the Lord God and the Lord God blessed the people. They knew that a nation’s wellbeing depends on knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and supporting the Jewish people who He identified with.

The finest British Prime Ministers:

During the dark days of war, the British people were afraid. Their hearts were failing them with fear.  Winston Churchill, the man of strength, courage and faith would go to the microphone across airways and speak to them – and the people listened.   He encouraged them and inspired them to new hope – he calmed the people  and lift up their morals. Harold Wilson, this great man of God lived the Judeo-Christian Scriptures – he even wrote a prophetic book for Israel ‘the Chariot of Israel.’  As a result, God blessed him and his country.

 Lady Thatcher brought sunshine to Britain because of her knowledge and obedience of the Judeo-Christian Scriptures. Her Party was known as the ‘Jewish Party’ and this pleased the Lord God and brought blessing to the country.

America’s finest Presidents

President Harry Truman in 1948 openly declared America’s support for the founding of the new nation of Israel because he had been raised reading the Bible and knew enough to know that God had a plan for Israel and that he wasn’t going to stand in the way. (Dr David Jeremiah)

Canada’s Prime Minister is wise and courageous: Most recently, Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada publically declares he will do whatever it takes to define Israel.  He understands the Judeo-Christian Scriptures and put them to practice. He is God fearing and courageous!

You might think you’re just a small island, but to the Lord God, size does not matter.  He blessed you in the past and He is ready to do the same thing again.  No matter how your past was messed up, He is ready to forgive you and to forget – place your trust and hope in Him.

Atheists are very angry – Why?

‘Atheists in the past had always taken a passive attitude in society but in recent years they are becoming very angry lots and they are apparently fighting back against a God they say they do not   believe exists!  Are Atheists going barmy?   A person normally does not go on wasting his/her time and energy in trying to fight against something/someone he/she believes does not exist!  For example let us take unicorns – we believe they don’t exist – so because unicorns do not exist, no one is angry at them  – because a person in their right mind does not get angry against  someone or  thing he or she believes does not exist.  (Dr David Jeremiah)

‘A group atheist’s intellectuals have arisen in the last five or six years that is being called the “New Atheists.” they have written a spate of new books bashing the idea of religion and defending an atheistic world view.  The irony of the angry tone exhibited by today’s leading atheists is that they seem to be angry at someone they profess not to believe in!  Is that rational? (1)Atheists are angry because their arrogance is diminishing them: their own actions are making them look small in the eyes of observers.

(2)Atheists are losing their heads because their Advocates are deserting them: Atheists set the agenda for modern atheism with a 1950 essay titled “Theology and Falsification.” It was widely read and repented and became a core document in the atheism movement.  Author of more than 30 books, he rocked the intellectual world with a 2007 book titled There Is a God.  In this book he professed to having made a commitment to go wherever the evidence led– and the evidence led him to accept the existence of a Creator God.  This was quite a shock to fellow atheists – especially many of the New Atheists – who had looked at Flew as one of their standard bearers.  An Associated Press story about Flew and his new book said, “Philosophy professor who has been a leading champion of atheism for more than a half-century has changed his mind.  He now believes in God.”   He came to a scientific conclusion that atheism is not logically sustainable.
An Atheist renounced his faith and spent years mocking Christianity. He recently returned to faith – the reason, he said in an interview with the British magazine New Statesman, was that atheists “are missing out on some very basic experiences of life.”

An atheist, made the mistake of visiting Christian aid workers in Malawi, where he saw the power of the Gospel transforming them and others. Concerned with what he saw, he wrote that it “confounds my ideological beliefs, stubbornly refuses to fit my worldview, and has embarrassed my growing belief that there is no God.”

Another former atheist and is the brother of the outspoken New Atheist.  A journalist and author of the 2010 book The Rage Against God.  At the age of fifteen, he set fire to his Bible on the playing field of his Cambridge boarding school and set out on a life of denying the existence of God.   He attributes his return to faith to seeing  godless socialism in practice during his years as a correspondent in the USSR – In his book, he describes life as harsh and dangerous – for example, in 1990 there were 6.46 million abortions in the USSR and only 4.85 million live births.  For the average citizen, life was ‘lived at a dismally low level materially, ethically, and culturally.’

A key argument of atheists is that religion is responsible for the most of the evil and pain in the history of the world.  Atheists’ argument: The faults of the world are to be laid at the door of backward-looking superstitions which hold the world back from its rational and scientific destiny.  Eliminate religion and the world will be a better place.  Religion has led only to violence, intellectual dishonesty, oppression and social division.”

First, let’s agree with history: There have been terrible atrocities committed in the name of religion and, yes, in the name of Christ.  But what has been done in the name of Christianity has been blown vastly out of proportion as scholar Dinesh De’Souza’s documents in his book What’s So Great About Christianity.  Focusing on three specific periods of history – the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, and the Salem Witch Trials – D’Souza gives us facts about the degree of suffering that actually occurred.  That is not to justify what was done in those periods.  But it is to put it in historical context and demonstrates how, compared to other similar atrocities – and compared to the good Christianity has accomplished – those three events are not grounds for the New Atheists’ blanket condemnation of religion, Christianity in particular.

In his book What’s So Great ABOUT Christianity, Dinesh D’Souza cites real facts to counter the atheists’ accusations.  He concentrates specifically on the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the Salem witch trials.

The Crusades

According to the atheists, we are supposedly responsible for the massacre of thousands.  D’Souza reminds his readers that the Crusades were an attempt on the part of Christians to recover territory that had been taken from them by armed forces. “In the context of the history of warfare, there is no warrant for considering the Crusades a world historical crime of any sort.  The Christians fought to defend themselves from foreign conquest, while the other armed forces fought to continue conquering Christian lands.”  European Christians had good reason to be concerned about foreign conquest.  Armed Forces had been turned back from conquering what is now modern France in AD 732 at the Battle of Tours.  Had the Foreign forces won that battle, the entire history of Western civilization would have been radically altered.

The Spanish Inquisition

D’Souza discovered that ‘the horrific images of the Inquisition are largely a myth concocted first by the political enemies of Spain and later by the political enemies of religion.  Citing Henry Kamen’s book :  The Spanish Inquisition: a Historical Revision, D’Souza points out that the total number of people who were executed by Roman Catholic inquisitors for heresy was approximately two thousand.  Whilst this is not an insignificant number, it is important to remember that these deaths occurred over a period of 350 years.

The Salem

The Salem witch trials are the New Atheists’ best example of religiously motivated violence… – Again, D’Souza’s research provides correctives to the accepted critical view: How many people were killed in those trials? Thousands?  Hundreds?  Actually, fewer that twenty-five – Nineteen were sentenced to death and a few others died in captivity.

Atheists insist that Christianity must accept blame for the few who misapply its truths.  This is no more logical that a professor being force to assume blame for the few who fail his course compared to the many who pass with flying colours.

(4) Atheists are angry because their adversaries are defeating them:   Israeli scientist Gerald Schroeder’s point by point refutation of the ‘monkey theorem.’ This theorem asserts that life could have arisen by chance, using the analogy of a multitude of monkeys banging away on computer keyboards until they eventually write a Shakespearean sonnet.  Schroeder cites an experiment conducted by the British National Council of Arts: “A computer was placed in a cage with six monkeys.  After one month of hammering away at it … even though the shorted word in the English language is one letter (a or I ).  A is a word only if there is a space on either side of it.”

So what are the chances of getting a Shakespearean sonnet? Schroeder answered conclusively: If you took the entire universe and converted it to computer chips – forget the monkeys – each one weighing a millionth of a gram and had each computer chip able to spin out 488 trials at say, a million times a second; if you turn the entire universe into these microcomputer chips and these chips were spinning a million times a second (producing) random letters… You will never get a sonnet by chance… Yet the world just thinks the monkeys can do it every time.

This is but one example of how the New Atheist must rely on unproven or unprovable theorems to buttress their claim that the universe, life matter and intelligence arose from nothing.  Someone wrote, any assertion that the universe came about without the agency of an intelligent first cause is flawed at its base.

‘Today’s education changed priority from acquiring knowledge to experiencing knowledge.  In the 1920s 1930s, John Dewey’s America became famous for pointing out that the authoritarian, strict, pre-ordained knowledge approach of traditional education was too concerned with delivering knowledge, and not enough with understanding students’ actual experiences.

Dewey was not against students acquiring knowledge; he was against teaching it to them instead of helping them discover it through experience.  He changed education from the didactic transfer of knowledge to the modern view that experience is what drives the acquisition of knowledge.

This distrust of ‘delivering knowledge’ led Dewey to abandon the system of education that delivered knowledge based on a biblical worldview.  In making this move he turned his back on a proven system of education and instigated an experiment that put the well-being of our nation in jeopardy.

God said through the prophet Hosea, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6)

Israel was destroyed not for ‘delivering knowledge’ but for abandoning knowledge.  The people perished because they elevated experience over knowledge.  Jesus Christ rebuked the leaders of Israel in His day because they had ‘taken away the key of knowledge’ (Luke 11:52), which is a right understanding of God’s Word.

See below the correct relationship between knowledge and experience  set clearly in Deuteronomy:

Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

The truth was too vital to leave to chance discovery.  The focus was on teaching the truth as set forth in the Ten Commandments: there is only one God, and He is to receive the whole hearted affections of His people.  Fathers were to communicate that truth, instilling the objective law of God into their children throughout all the experiences of life.  But the purpose of experience was not to discover truth; it was to learn how life must be conformed to truth.

Knowledge gone from being Biblical based to being experience-based.   With armed security gauds now patrolling public schools and UK teenagers lagging far behind their international peers in math and science, we can’t help but draw negative conclusions about this change in our educational priorities.  Instead of having the Bible quoted in school textbook, today the Bible can hardly be opened in public schools.’ (Dr David Jeremiah)

The Bible reveals much about the kind of walk we should have.  We are to walk with moral correctness because ‘no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly’ (Psalm 84:11).  We are to walk without fault because ‘whoever walks blamelessly will be saved’ (Proverbs 28:18)

We are to be with godly advisors because ‘blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly.’(Psalm 1:1) we are to walk in obedience because ‘blessed is every one who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways.’  (Psalm 128:1) we are to walk with people of wisdom because he who walks with the wise men will be wise’ (Proverbs 13:20)

A parable of the Prodigal Son – Luke 15:11.   Jesus told the crowd about God’s great love and forgiveness.   He tells us about a son who left home and spent all his money before returning to a father who forgave him and a brother who hated him.  If you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, you too can call God father.  Although God is responsible for creating us, it does not make us His since Adam and Eve committed that sin in the Garden of Eve.  But the Good News is everyone can still belong to God by adoption through His Son Jesus Christ. ‘No man ever got through to God enough to call him father but by Jesus Christ.’ Dr David Pawson

Christianity is a ‘saving faith’ (3 vital ingredients for a ‘saving faith’ are (1) Revelation from the Father; (2) Reconciliation through the Son; (3) Recreation by the Holy Spirit) if Jesus Christ and His’ Gospels were to be watered down in order to fit in with other gods, Christians would surely lose the Gospels altogether.  Christianity would then become ‘a practising faith’ instead of a ‘saving faith.  Dr David Pawson

Honour God Not Man

London is a superb city in every way.  It is full of blessings by God of the Holy Bible through His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.  The most magnificent cathedrals and churches are found here.  ‘Praise the Lord, who is so good; God’s love endures forever.’ (Psalm 136:1)

 ‘Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, In whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.’  (Ephesians 2:20-22)

Regrettably, this brilliant city is falling into idolatrous – honouring man instead of God.  Cathedrals and Churches all over London are neglected abandoned.  Instead the race is on to finish building completely worthless, meaningless ugly twisted structures for honouring man instead of something worthwhile in honouring our Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour and the Saviour of the World.  Again   skyscrapers alike are competing in dwarfing the Church of Jesus Christ.

Britain

Britain is a place everyone can call home. This country is where people from all different walks of lives peacefully side by side.  The world’s food and languages are found here.  The British welcome anyone with open arms regardless who they are or where they come from.  No wonder it is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.  Britain owes its uniqueness success to the knowledge of God of the Holy Bible through His Son, Lord Jesus Christ.  The early British truly knew God. They knew for fact that the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Joseph, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul is the one and only true God and there is no other.

‘Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.’ (Titus 3:5-6)

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me (Jesus).’  (John 5:39)

Yet, Britain, a country that was born and bread Christianity is beginning to lose its Christian identities and abandoning its Christian values. It can no longer tell the difference between right and wrong.  Speaking up for Lord Jesus Christ and Israel is not ‘politically correct anymore.’  A person is only accepted if he or she is ‘politically correct’, idolatrous, morally bankrupt, anti-Christ, anti-Christian and anti-Israel.

Do not tattoo your body. It is associated with Pagan rituals and it is demonic.  It is said, demons follows a person with tattoos around.  The type of demon following that person depends on the type of tattoo he or she has.  Demon torments and destroys their victims.  Body piecing is not allowed either. Ear piecing is said to be ok as it is cultural not religion.  It is a way to tell the different between baby girls from boys. Meekness is power under the control of God of the Holy Bible through His Son Lord Jesus Christ.  The world belongs to the person who has control over his emotions.

One day there was a black African American man who was standing on the street when a white woman walked over to him and asked him to paint her fence.  Whilst he was painting, the woman’s neighbour ran to her and exclaimed.  ‘Wow, do you know who is painting your fence?

The white woman said, ‘no, I don’t.’

‘It is Dr George Washington Caver, the famous scientist who has done so much for the South with his great inventions.’

The white woman immediately hurried to Dr Caver with embarrassment and shame and apologised.   She told him she thought he was a poor man who was looking for odd jobs.

The black hero told her that he was happy to paint her fence because he had not much to do that day.

 The white woman assumed since he was black he must be poor.  Dr Caver could have been a victim of a prejudice that day and play the ‘race card’.  But he was meek; his emotions were under God’s control.

Get to know Lord Jesus Christ and honour and obey His Gospels – God revealed His identity, power and purpose in Jesus Christ; once a person understands this, he or she gets abundant blessings. Read the Bible daily – it is the Word of the Living God.  Praise the Lord everyday and night and pray. Go to Church every week. Do random kindness.  (Premier Christian Radio)

The Great Lions

The Merchants of Tarshish (Western Europe and Spain – particularly the UK) are referred as the great Lions: all her young lions – including America, Canada, Australia, and the Commonwealth see Ezekiel 38:13 (Pastor Derek Walker)

The United Kingdom (UK) is blessed with good leaders.  Goodness comes from God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Joseph, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul.  God reins over this land.  The British knew, loved and obeyed Lord Jesus Christ and His Gospels.  They believed that worshiping other gods other than the God of the Holy Bible is sin so they sent messengers to all nations to tell them the Good News of Lord Jesus Christ.  They also helped and supported God’s chosen people, the Israelites.  The Lord then blessed the UK by making it one of the greatest countries to live on Earth to this day.

As followers of Lord Jesus Christ, ‘you are Salt and Light of the earth.’  (Matthew 5:13-16)
‘And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’ (Mark 16:15)
In the past the British travelled afar and wide to take the Gospel to all the people. Today, the need to hear The Good News of Jesus Christ is greater here in the UK for its own survival.

It is a huge  mistake to walk away from the living God of the Bible, to mock His Son Jesus Christ, disregard His Laws found in Bible: Matthew 5:17-19; Exodus 20:3-6 and Deuteronomy 11:26-28…  It is unwise to allow foreign gods/non-Christian religions to flourish in this country and to eat food offered to them.  An individual/nation’s survival depends on the survival of the Israelites.  It is unwise not to support Israel against her enemies.

‘For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places’ (Ephesians 6:12)
Stand firm by the Israelites and be kind to them here and in Israel.  Idolatry is wrecking our young people/society; hurry, there is no time for ‘politically corrected’ approaches, time is running out.  Go back to the Bible.  It has all the answers to all questions.

Read it for transformation before it rids you. Tell the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone in the home, on the streets, villages, valleys, towns, cities, schools and the work place. Yes, it is all true.  We love you lots.  We loved you in the past, we love you now and we’ll always love you.  To us, nothing has changed.  You are still and will always be very special to us just like the days of our Prime Minister, Mrs Margret Thatcher and your President Ronald Regan in office.
We love you since we share the same Father – the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Joseph and the Father of Lord Jesus Christ.

We are inseparable as we bonded together in the Body of Jesus Christ.  We share the same commandments – to love and serve God of the Holy Bible and care, support His chosen people, Israel at all times and love each other. ‘Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.’ (1 John 4:7-12)

Now that you know why we are so fond of you, lets’ us forgive each other of all the misunderstandings and work together ways on how to stamp out the growing cancer of idolatries in our countries and beyond.  Removing Jesus Christ and or diluting His Gospels to make rooms for other non-Christian gods in any form is committing idolatry.  It leads to confusion, divisions and hates amongst Christians.  The only winner will be the antichrist and his followers.  There are sixty eight curses that come onto an individual or a nation that violates the laws of God. According to Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo’s book, ‘What is wrong with BEING BLACK?’  Mankind’s problems throughout history are due to idolatry.

Well, as Winston Churchill once put it, greatness comes with responsibilities.

The forefathers understood their responsibilities well and took them very seriously indeed.  In the previous three hundred years they  worked tirelessly to help transform people’s lives around the world permanently for the better  lasting to this day by introducing them to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Good News and stood by and support the chosen people of God, Israelites.

Unfortunately Jesus Christ and His Gospels aresystematic being tempered with to make room for non-Christian religions and secularisms.  Sixty years ago, there was hardly any worship place other than the church of Jesus Christ in this country.  Today, non-Christian worship places/idolatrous are growing and spreading out fast like wild fire whilst Christianity is marginalised, mocked and vandalised.  Church buildings have been  knocked down to make way for luxury flats and car parks.  The remaining are in poor repair and left to rot.  That’s not all, if someone uses the name of Jesus Christ in vein, that person is applauded.  But if you speak up for Jesus Christ, the person is booed, branded out of date, intolerant, fined or even sent to jail.  This all time great country is being gradually reduced to worthless deadly paganism.   There are costs for violating God’s laws and we have no vote on it.

‘The Lord does whatever pleases Him, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all their deeps’ (Psalm 135:6)

‘If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.’ (Isaiah 1:19-20)

Walk away from non-Christian religions/foreign gods and secularisms.  Make Lord the centre of your lives.  Be kind and supportive to the Israelites – here and in Israel.   Help look after church buildings. Pray for us, our country, Israel and the world.  Call ‘sin’ sin.  Obey God’s Law.  Jesus said He did not come to abolish the law.  He came to enforce the Law (Matthew 5:17-18), blessing for the obedient and causes for the disobedient in Matthew 5:19 and Exodus 20:3-6.

And, ‘behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse; the blessing if you obey he commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.  ‘(Deuteronomy 11:26-28)

Wise up

Lies: that all paths lead to heaven

Denying the Son of the Living of God of the Bible means you have no access to His Father in Heaven.  The only way left for that person to go to is Hell. Hell is real!

Jesus Christ the one who knows what takes place on the other side tells us there is a real physical place called Hell.  It is a prison worse than an Earthly prison.  Earthly prison can only lock the body up. The spirit is free.  Hell is a place of a complete separation from God.  It is a place of intense suffering, continuous isolation, a confinement and loneliness. A place of ever lasting darkness. (Revelation 21:8)

Hell is a city of punishment. It is a dark pit below the world.  A pit as deep below the world as Heaven is high above the world. Hell is a place of everlasting torments.  The individual will be totally awake, totally conscious whilst being tormented for all eternity. It is said there are countless places that link Earth to Hell in many parts of the world, including the ‘Masaya’ in South America. (Gates of Hell – History Channel 28/12/10)

Lesson from the Early Christians

Turning water into wine at a wedding (John2:1-12), unmistakable miracle.  Healing of the Official’s Son-(John 4:43-54) while miles away from the sick person, without seeing or laying hands on him.   Jesus Calms the Storm-Matthew 8; Mark 4; Luke 8 – even the wind listened to Him.  Healing a man by the Pool of Bethesda who had been there for 38 years suffering from a chronic condition.  Feeding the 5,000, hungry men by producing a lot from a little.   Walking on water- Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9, John 6.  Raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11) whose body would already have started to rot.  Raising the Dead-Matthew 9; Mark 5; Luke 8.  Healing a blind from birth.  Healing on the Sabbath-John5:1-18.   I am the bread of heaven,’ was delivered following the feeding of the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish. The Kingdom: the Sower and the Soils-Matthew 13; Mark 4; Luke 8.  The Good Samaritan-Luke10.   The Great Wedding Feast-Matthew 22; Luke 14.

The Lord God is all you need!

‘Lee Strobel writes, ‘What is the most heinous thing a person can do in this life?  Most people, because they don’t think much about God, will say it’s harming animals or destroying the environment or hurting another person.  And, no question, all of those are horrible.  But they pale in light of the worst thing a person can do, which is to mock and dishonour and refuse to love the person that we owe absolutely everything to, which is our Creator, God himself.

You have to understand that God is infinitely greater in his goodness, holiness, kindness, and justice than anyone else.  To think that a person could go through their whole life constantly ignoring him, constantly mocking him by the way they choose to live without him, saying, “I couldn’t care less about what you put me here to do.  I couldn’t care less about your values or your Son’s death for me.  I’m going to ignore all of that” –that’s the ultimate sin.  And the only punishment worthy of that is the ultimate punishment, which is everlasting separation from God.  In the United Sates, the most serious crime –murder-is punishable by its most severe sanction, which is being separated from society for life in prison.’
And he goes on to say.

 ‘You say, “I’ve heard some tings that Jesus taught. They sound like good ideas to me, but I don’t know if they’re true.  For instance, I’ve heard Jesus say it’s more blessed to give than to receive.  How can I know if that’s true?”  Well, a thousand debates won’t prove it.  But when you became generous, you’ll realize this is truth.  You might say, “ Oh, maybe Jesus accidentally guessed right about that one.”  Then just keep going.  You’ll be amazed at how often he “guessed” right! 
In Psalm 34:8, King David said, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Medicine for Life.  “Our rations of adversities are really medicines prescribed by the Great Physician for our ultimate benefit.  Each dose contains ingredients for eternal life.”  Job 23:10
